Stanley Marshall Johnson, 62, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, November 24, 2019.
He was born March 13, 1957 in Moro, Arkansas, son of A.M. “Abb” Johnson and Nedra Taylor Johnson Helvey.
Stan was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1975. He was a talented singer who sang in A Cappella and Pine Bluff Singers in high school and won First Chair in the All State Choir in 1975.
After working for International Paper, he served with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for many years, retiring as a Supervisor for the Jack Jones Juvenile Justice Center in 2015.
Stan was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member of the choir.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Smith Johnson, whom he married October 26, 1985, in Pine Bluff; son, Brad Johnson (Emily); two daughters, Taylor Johnson Allen and Natalie Johnson; brother, Rusty Johnson (Debra); and five grandchildren, Becca Sanchez, Michael Billings, Gracie Johnson, Elam Johnson and Caty Beth Allen.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Howard Loetscher officiating. Interment will follow in Grapevine Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
