Obituary

Sondra “Leigh” Ross, aka Sugar, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at the age of 73.

After a long battle with cancer, Leigh passed into the loving arms of her Savior surrounded by her three children. She was born May 31, 1947 in Pine Bluff.

Leigh was a graduate of Dollarway High School, then attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. After retiring as an executive secretary at Southwestern Bell she moved to Nairobi, Kenya, Africa where she founded Arms of Love Ministry.

Leigh is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Francis Culpepper Medlin and sister Wanda Wessels both of Pine Bluff. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Anderson Hogg (Randy) of Star City and Meleah Taylor (Scott) of Conway and son, Larry Dale Ross, Jr. (Tyson Marden) of Denver, Colorado; sister Allie LaBorde of Vilonia, Louisiana; and her grandchildren Leighton, Lydia, Sam, and Leah.

A visitation service will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Robinson-Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel with a memorial graveside service at 2:30 PM on Sunday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff with Pastor Scott Taylor officiating.
