Obituary

Sharon Louise Wilkinson, 63, lifelong resident of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer, Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Sharon was born February 22, 1956, in Pine Bluff, to Joe Donald and Hattie Louise Battles Wood. She was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff, where she graduated from Dollarway High School in 1974.
Sharon was a stay at home mom who loved her family. She loved to play cards, board games and cook. She attended church at White Hall Assembly of God. She was a Christian and loved her Lord. She never met a stranger and was always up for making new friends. She was a great confidant and listener. She was very special in many ways to her family and friends and will be missed greatly.
She is survived by her parents, Joe Donald and Hattie Louise Battles Wood of Pine Bluff; son, Joseph Wilkinson (Anna Ginnett) of Pine Bluff; daughter, Amanda Simpier of Pine Bluff; sisters, Debbie (Al) Hess of Marietta, Georgia, Diann (Richard) Merritt of White Hall, and Tonya Wood of Sheridan; grandchildren, Kylie Wilkinson Kelly, Alexander Wilkinson, and Landon Simpier; all of her very special calendar girls; and her extended family which includes her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 21, 2020, 11:00 AM, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Pastor Jason Campbell officiating with visitation one hour prior to service time.
