Ruth Glover Wimberly, 100, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, November 13, 2020 at her home.

She was born October 26, 1920 in Mansfield, Missouri, daughter of James Wells and Etta Mallory Wells.

Mrs. Wimberly was reared and received her early education in Rison.

She worked for Ben Pearson’s for many years in the archery department.

Mrs. Wimberly was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Maurice Glover; second husband, J.T. Wimberly; and a host of siblings.

Survivors include her son, Marion Glover (Sheila) of Pine Bluff; step-son, David Wimberly of Mansfield, Georgia; daughter, Patricia Glover Landers of Arizona City, Arizona; step-daughter, May Gaffney (Bill) of Scotland; two granddaughters; one step-granddaughter; one step-great-grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wimberly will be in state Monday afternoon from 2:00-4:30 p.m. at Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in the Chapel of Robinson and Fuller in White Hall with Brother Neil Quick officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. All state covid-19 guidelines will be followed for all events.
