Bill , you brought a certain FLAVOR to the staff at Hernando Middle School! Who could forget the crab claws you served at the first party at your house. Of course half the faculty got sick ! You never quit teaching or caring. You called me before my heart surgery, told me what to expect and how I would feel! As usual, you were correct. Go rest my friend.

Mr Tuggle was my 8th grade science teacher and he was one of a kind. We loved keeping him on his toes. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing but will always cherish the memories from his class. ❤️
Godspeed Mr Tuggle

My wife and I are so very sorry to read of Bill's passing. We knew him best in the early to mid '80s, when I worked along side him part time at a shopper's paper here in Memphis. We become good friends and he became interested in coming to see us in local theatre productions. Along with another couple at work, we often went for lunch and traded life stories, and probably more than a "few lies". We know he really wanted to be that first teacher to go into space, and it's good for his friends that he did not. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his husband John and all his family members, and, I'm sure, many, many friends and students he inspired over the years.
