Robert Eugene “Bobby” Garner, 84, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 22, 2021.
He was born December 11, 1936, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Robert M. and Rhoda Sweeney Garner.
Bobby was reared and received his early education in Grapevine, graduating from Sheridan High School. He attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
He served in the Arkansas National Guard and was Federalized during the Central High School crisis. He was a Sunbeam Bakery Representative before becoming the owner and operator of Sno-White Grill from 1970 to 2016. He cooked countless burgers, fries, and prime ribs for all his customers and friends. He loved all his patrons.
He served generations in our community over the years from catering events and cookoffs, always having a smile on his face when you came through the door for that special burger. Bobby did several fundraisers for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
He had attended both the Baptist and Catholic churches. He was a former Shriner, enjoyed golf, and duck hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Maxine Higgenbothan and a brother, Bill Garner.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Blanche Michael Garner, whom he married on May 21, 1981; a son, Buck (Jennifer) James of Bryant, a daughter, Pam Blake of Pine Bluff; five grandchildren, Kimberlee (Nick), McKinze, Ty, Grayson, Major; one great-grandchild, Annslee; several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Hospice.
A Memorial visitation for friends and family will be Thursday, March 25, 2021, 5 to 7 P.M., at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
