Obituary

Patricia Ann Wells, 83, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, February 19, 2020.
She was born September 7, 1936 in Illmo, Missouri, daughter of Mitchell F. Sheppard and Virginia McGaugh Sheppard.
Pat was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, graduating from Pine Bluff High School.
She attended Henderson State Teacher’s College on a musical coterie scholarship.
Pat worked for Martin-McNew Insurance and First Arkansas Insurance for many years, retiring in 1994 from First Arkansas as an account manager.
She was a member of Good Faith Carr United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting items for church fundraisers.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Wells, whom she married March 28, 1959; her parents; and a grandchild, Holli Bond.
Survivors include her daughter, Gina Bond (Mike) of Rison; son, Andy Wells (Joy) of Rison; grandchildren, Jason Wells (Tarah), Hannah Bond and Hope Wells; and great-granddaughter, Lani Wells.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2020 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Brother Scot Grubb officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Robinson’s.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Foundation, 1 Children’s Way, Slot 661, Little Rock, AR 72202.

Gina, please accept my heartfelt sympathies for the loss of your mother. I don't believe I ever had the pleasure of meeting her, but I worked with your late father, Paul, at Sears many years ago. Please take care.

Pat and her parents were part of my family. Her parents grew up with my parents in the small towns of Fornfelt and Illmo, Missouri. I know God is holding Pat close.... and she is feeling safe and loved....in the arms of her heavenly family. Sally Miller
