It saddens me to learn of Mrs. Blackford’s passing. I have very fond memories of her while growing up. During a challenging time at Carr church, Mrs. Blackford stood up for me when others would not. I stayed in touch with her for several years, stopping by their house to visit while patrolling the streets of Pine Bluff, and we would sit at their table just catching up. She was a very gracious lady, who loved her family dearly, and she had the greatest laugh! I hate that I lost touch after moving away, but I am so thankful for knowing her. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. May God bless you all during this challenging time. James Bacon
