Nila Faye Lackey, 93 of White Hall, AR. gained her wings to heaven on August 8, 2020 to join her God, husband, many family members and friends. Family reunions were a one of her most enjoyable times of her life. She is now having the ultimate time of her life.
Nila was born July 26, 1927 in Kingsland, AR. to the late Carlee and Myra (Reed) Brown. After graduating from Kingsland High School she ventured to Pine Bluff where she met the love of her life the late Dwight Lackey to whom she married on August 8, 1946. She worked a short time at Southwestern Bell but decided to start her loving family shortly after and became a wife, mother, homemaker and loving friend to many. After raising her children to school age she began working for Sears for 20 plus years. After retiring she threw her whole life back into her family, friends and church. She was a lifelong active charter member of St Luke Methodist Church.
As mentioned, she was preceded in death by her parents and her husband but also by her grandson Brad Kessinger and 9 sisters and brothers.
Nila is survived by a brother, Ernie Brown of White Hall, AR, two daughters Freda Mills of White Hall, AR, Nancy (David) Fielding of Hot Springs, AR, two sons Dwayne (Sherrie) Lackey of Benton, AR and Gary Lackey of White Hall, AR.
She is also survived by six of her seven grandchildren Jeff and Greg Blevins of White Hall, Michelle (Rafe) Essary of Stillwell, OK, Melissa (Aaron) Wilkey of Overland Park, Ks, Brady Lackey of San Diego, CA and Brandon (Bethany) Lackey of Benton, AR.
She was also blessed with 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
We will lay our beautiful precious mother to rest on Saturday August 15, 2020 at 10:00am in Kingsland, AR at the Kingsland Cemetery with Pastor Barbara Douglas officiating. All friends and relatives are welcome with social distancing rules and mask in place.

Aunt Nila Faye was my favorite. She was so sweet and was always smiling. She never had a bad thing to say about any one. I'm sorry that I won't be able to attend her services, but know you will all be in my prayers. Love to you all.

Nila Faye was such a sweet lady! Her and my mom, Sybil Coker, enjoyed doing many things together, before their health declined. She will surely be missed! Our sincere prayers are with her family.
