Nancy Lorene Taylor, 93, lifetime resident of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 7, 2020, surrounded by her family at her home.
Mrs. Taylor was born September 25, 1927, in Pine Bluff, to the late Jesse Jackson and Ada Mae Dyson West. She grew up in Pine Bluff and graduated from Watson Chapel High School.
She was a homemaker who was an excellent seamstress, gardener, and cook. Mrs. Taylor was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who was loved very much.
She was one of the founding members of Watson Chapel Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher, a member of the Red Hats Society and the Evergreens.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen Taylor of Mountain View and Jeff B. (Nancy) Taylor; daughter, Lisa Taylor of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Clay Taylor, Tyson Whitener, Kelly Bussell and Lacey Bullock; eight great-grandchildren, Scott Taylor, Austyn Clement, Dillon Taylor, Xaden Kinova, Ender Kinova, Zoey Sanders, Braylee Bussell and Orey Bullock; her wonderful caregivers, Carolyn Ferguson and Elizabeth Lawrence; and very special Arkansas Hospice Nurses, Carla Denton and Gail Stephens for the wonderful care they gave Mrs. Taylor.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband of whom she married August 6, 1948, in Pine Bluff, Bruce Taylor; daughter, Susan Elaine Taylor; brother, Lawrence Wesley West; and two sisters, Ila Mae Rawls and Ruby Lee Alexander.
