Obituary

Larry Lynn “Mitch” Mitchell, Jr., age 53, of Mayflower, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

Born January 31, 1966 at Pine Bluff, he was the son of Larry Lynn Mitchell and Beverly Quinn Mitchell of Pine Bluff. He graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1984 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Central Arkansas in 1990.

He had worked at Haverty’s Furniture, Frigidaire in Conway and GMAC/Nuvell Financial Services. Mitch finally found fulfillment and happiness in work as a heating and air technician at Diamond State Heating and Air in North Little Rock. He loved his co-workers and many customers repeatedly requested for him to do their work.

Mitch was a Baptist by faith. He had a big heart, a great sense of humor, and was a quiet, sweet gentle man. He would do anything for anybody, and welcomed everyone into his family’s home.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Melanie Greer Mitchell, whom he married on May 14, 1994; a daughter, Brittany McFadden; a sister, Melissa Carr and husband Skip; a granddaughter, Lexie Mitchell; two nephews, Tyler Carr and Caleb Carr; along with many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, November 11, 2019 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel in Pine Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. and interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
