Obituary

Louise Johnston, 102, of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Pine Bluff and Warren, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019.

Born Mary Louise Dennis in Warren, Arkansas on September 29, 1916, she was the daughter of Willie and Maggie Trimble Dennis. She was educated in the Warren school system. She was a member of The First Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and the John McClanahan Sunday School Class.

Louise was preceded in death by her first husband, Doyle Copeland, and her second husband, Joe Morgan. On May 17, 1991, she married T.O. Johnston in Pine Bluff. He passed away in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her three sisters.

Survivors include her nieces Lou Parker of Kansas City, Missouri and Mary Quinn (John) Wrightfield of Liberty, Missouri; step-daughter, Cherie (Bud) McFadin of Bryant, Arkansas; step-son, Michael (Sharon) Morgan of Warren; seven step-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; and a special friend, Juliet (Bernie) Wright of Bentonville, Arkansas.

She was so grateful to Bonnie Bradley and Earnest and Lois Lagrone. Without their friendship and help, she would never have been able to stay in her home till age 101. Their love and support were so appreciated. She moved to Kansas City in September of 2018 to be close to her nieces.

Her visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 18th with the funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Kenneth Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Warren, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be members of her Sunday School class.
