I first met Mr. Cook when I was 10 years old. He was my little league coach in 1957, 58 and 59. Mr. Cook lived on Iris St. and my family lived one block over on Rose St. I would run over to his house and ride to practice with him. Mr. Cook was a very good coach and an even nicer man to many of us who had the privilege of playing for him. Later in life I also worked at the railroad and got to see and talk with him many times. I respected this man and will miss him as I know many others will. My condolences and prayers to the family of this true gentleman and lifelong friend.
