Lawrence Allen “Precious” Tucker, 69, of Rison, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans’ Hospital in Little Rock.
Mr. Tucker was born November 16, 1950 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to William Clyde and Jamie Lee Bolen Tucker. He was reared and received his education in Pine Bluff, where he graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1969. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War.
He married Margaret J. Ingrum, September 18, 1971, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Mr. Tucker worked for the United States Postal Service for 34 years and retired from there as a clerk in 2009.
He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and the Cane Creek Bass Club. During his free time, he enjoyed bass fishing and camping.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Margaret “Peggy” Tucker of Rison; two sons, Larry Don Tucker of Pine Bluff and Jamie Allen (Alyssa) Tucker of San Diego, California; two daughters, Lyndee Marie (Ricky) Riggins of Navarre, Florida and Laurie Ann (Michael) Rhodes of Rison; thirteen grandchildren; seven and a half great-grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Graham of Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Billy Jim Tucker and Jerry Adron Tucker.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 25, 2020, 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home with Reverend Johnie Brewster officiating. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Macedonia Cemetery in Cleveland County. Visitation will be 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, prior to service time.
The family would like to ask his brothers and sisters in the Postal Service to be honorary pallbearers. He loved and respected each and everyone and called them all friends.
