I didn't get to meet "Rennie" until she was 97 years old. She was a very pleasant lady. She had the tiniest feet! I remember "Johnny", as she called him, fretting over her feet. She always wanted to wear the same shoes, her favorite! She still dressed herself and always chose nice clothes to dress in. She usually wore a nice jacket to complete her outfit and carried a purse every time she and Johnny went for her weekly ride and for their weekly date/dinner night. She would finish her day at home with a tiny chocolate covered ice cream bar from Swanson's. Her laughter was a small chuckle. Her favorite game show was Wheel of Fortune. I could tell she was a very intelligent and strong woman. She built her own home interior design business and it was a successful business. I think she told me she worked until she was 80ish. Wow! She even had a room in her home, set up like an interior design shop, complete with lots of shelves, drawers, fabrics, threads, etc., and oh!, did I say "lots" of fabric!! She still had some decorative pillows she told me she had designed. She was a lady of class and very petite, dainty. My condolences to her family. You were blessed to love her and share life with her for a long time and she'll remain in your hearts and thoughts forever. Whenever thoughts of her feel like the wind blowing lightly or the sun shining brightly, just look up and tell the Lord thank you for your "Rennie." And tell Him to tell her,"Hello and I love you!" for you. He'll do it just for you. He doesn't mind. God bless you all.
Lovingly,
Mary Jo Watson

Sometimes an obituary can be like a time machine. Just reading the name, Jimmie Nevener, took me back to the days of Colony House, and John working with my dad at Raley Furniture those many years. Her life extended far beyond all of that, but she and John made those years all the richer for me. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I am so sorry for y'alls lost. But I know that GAGA and Carolyn were waiting at the gate for her and taking her on her rides each day. I bet even Doane, Earlene, Marsha and Chris were there and cheering her on too. She had a full and wonderful life and John you took wonderful care of her.
