Jewell Ann Rice Tisdale, 98, of Pine Bluff, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021. She was born April 23, 1922 in Alvin, Texas to the late Jess W. and Sarah Danley Rice.
Jewell moved to Altheimer when she an infant, and was reared and educated there, graduating from Altheimer High School. She moved to Pine Bluff in 1944. Jewell was a homemaker and enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling. She was a member of Olive Street Baptist Church.
Jewell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert F. Tisdale, whom she married August 16, 1941 in Sheridan, and who passed away March 8, 1972; her son, Fred “Snooky” Tisdale; her daughter, Judy Arnold; her brother, Calvin Rice; and her sister, Joyce Rice.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Wilson (T.N.) of Rison and Terri Lynn Wheeler of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Fred Tisdale, Robert Grinstead, William Arnold, Aaron Rouse, Collin Wheeler and Lisa Grinstead; 6 great grandchildren, Hannah, T.J., Justin, Simon, Asher and Tatum; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 3:00 PM Monday, February 1, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Brother John Fulmer officiating. Her grandsons will be pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
