Obituary

Jessie Wyvetta Smith, 93, of Sheridan, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021. She was born September 21, 1927 in Dewitt to the late Lawton S. and Jessie Mae Peters Sisemore.
Wyvetta was a retired door greeter at Walmart, having worked there for 15 years. She enjoyed playing Scrabble, sewing and doing her friends’ hair. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. Wyvetta was a member of Summit Baptist Church.
Wyvetta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James H. Smith, whom she married December 23, 1943 and who passed away December 3, 1998; and two sons, Lynn Allen Smith and Lawton Slay Smith.
Wyvetta is survived by a son, James Neil Smith (Nancy); two daughters, Theresa Orso (Marvin) and Connie Morgan (Gary); six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Cypress Memorial Garden with Reverend Todd Anderson officiating.
Memorials may be made to Summit Baptist Church, 901 Ridgway Road, Pine Bluff, AR 71603.
