Houston “Allen” Cook, 75, of Wabbaseka, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Cook was born January 10, 1944, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, a son of the late Richard Allen and Viola Elizabeth Fritz Cook. He was reared and received his education in Wabbaseka.
He was a fish and produce farmer before his retirement.
He really enjoyed selling his produce and visiting with his customers at the 270 Flea Market in White Hall. He was a very loving and outgoing person who loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his companion of 27 years, Sybil Biggs of Wabbaseka; his son, Greg (Stacey) Cook of Wabbaseka; daughter, Debra Cook of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Samantha Cook, Heather (Clint) McKewn, Kerry Gipson, Jr., and Kerissa Gipson; one great grandchild, Madison Cook and one more little blessing on the way; brother, Billy Joe Cook of DeWitt; and the mother of his children, Judy Cook Rabeneck of Stuttgart.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 9, 2019, 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Robinson’s.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 10, 2019, 10:00 AM, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Lance Hickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Cleveland County.
