George William O’Mary, 75, of Sheridan, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. Born February 3, 1944 at Camden, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Vaudie McWhirter O’Mary.

George graduated from Hampton High School in 1962 and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He then went to work as an electrician at Delta Natural Kraft Papermill in Pine Bluff, where he retired in 2013 after working at the mill for 35 years. Mr. O’Mary was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed camping with friends and family. He was a long time member of Forrest Park Assembly of God and First Assembly of God in Pine Bluff.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Samuel Alan O’Mary; a sister, Patricia O’Mary; and brothers, Frank, Roy and H.P. O’Mary.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Brenda Stubbs O’Mary, whom he married May 1, 1965 at Hampton; son, Jody (Pat) O’Mary of Pine Bluff; daughter, Jennifer (Chris) Doherty of Texas; granddaughter, April O’Mary of Pine Bluff; grandson, Caleb (Tiffany) Kelley of Missouri; great granddaughter, Zoey Haynes of Pine Bluff; and a special caregiver, Sue Blankenship of Prattsville.
Funeral Services will be 1:00PM Saturday, August 3,2019 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Rev. Mike Cottrell and Rev. Mike Glover officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, August 2, 2019 at the funeral home.
