Edalene Bearden, 78, of Pine Bluff, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020. She was born September 19, 1941 in Jefferson County to the late Ed and Hazel Heird Ard.
Edalene was reared and educated in Pine Bluff. She worked as a hairdresser for 44 years, and previous to that, she worked at the Pine Bluff Commercial. Edalene loved her home and her family, and also enjoyed flowers and hummingbirds. She loved spending time with her sisters and her grandchildren, and loved to have an ice cream cone. Edalene loved her church. She was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Ladies Auxiliary.
Edalene was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters Maxine Vanlandingham and Shirley Worthen.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis Bearden, whom she married January 25, 1959 at Rison; daughter, Terry Morrison (Mark) of Conway; grandsons, Chad Cullipher of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and Brad Cullipher (Amber) of Greenbrier; great grandchildren, Channing Cullipher and Chloe Cullipher; sisters, Marge Branch of Fayetteville and Mary Jo Lites of Conway; numerous caregivers, including her special loving caregiver Michelle Welch; and special thanks to the Hospice Angels staff, including Debbie Mitchell.
Graveside service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Providence Cemetery with Brother David Leopard officiating. Visitation will be 1:30 PM Sunday until service time at Providence Missionary Baptist Church. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Vanlandingham, Steve Vanlandingham, Tyler Vanlandingham, Ben Huffman, Mike Young, Job Branch and John Branch. Honorary pallbearers will be Woody West, Corey West, Perry Veazey, Brandon Biggs and Billy Rex Morrison.

Terri and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Your Mom's passing. She was a great lady who loved her family very much. She is now resting in the arms of Jesus. May God wrap his loving arms around each one of you at this time.
