Samuel David Lisenby, 73, of White Hall, died Saturday, December 12, 2020, at his home. He was born May 25, 1947, in Pine Bluff. He was retired from Pine Bluff Arsenal, and was a member of Claud Road Baptist Church, having more recently attended Central Baptist Church. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran who served in Vietnam, and was a member of the American Legion in White Hall.
He loved all sports, especially football and was a fanatic for his beloved Dallas Cowboys and Arkansas Razorbacks. For many years, he served as either a coach or umpire for youth football or Little League baseball in White Hall. He enjoyed serving his church and community by working elections, serving at the White Hall food pantry, or singing in the choir at church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Emily Lisenby Howard; and three sisters, Verna Jean Skiffington, Annette Irving, and Linda Sue Young.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Lisenby; son, Todd Lisenby and wife, Mary; daughters, Angie Horne, Melissa Henley and husband, Stephen, Sonya Cunningham and husband, Marc, and Leticeia Farmer; a sister, Carolyn McClain; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Live-streamed graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Burial will be under the direction of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 16, at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home.
