Betty Jean (Light) Maddox, 75, of Pine Bluff, Ar., passed away on October 12, 2019 in White Hall, Ar.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM October 21, 2019 at Fuller Hale South 1621 S. Cherry, St., Pine Bluff, Ar. 71601.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM October 22, 2019 at White Hall United Methodist Church with the Reverend Justin Ledbetter of Salem United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fuller Hale South Funeral Services. Family and friends will gather afterwards at the family restaurant, Lucky’s Café, 310 E. 5th. St., Pine Bluff, Ar. 71601.

Betty Jean Maddox was born in Jonesboro, Ar. to Adren Ryan and Iva Jean Ryan on March 29, 1944. She went to school at Pine Bluff/White Hall, Ar. She married Kermit Lavell Maddox on June 20, 1992 in White Hall, Ar. She was self employed as a business owner in the service and entertainment industry for many years in the Pine Bluff area.

Betty Jean Maddox is preceded in death by her husband Kermit Lavell Maddox, father Adren Ryan, mother Iva Jean Ryan, and sister Shirley Wilson.

Betty Jean Maddox is survived by her 2 daughters Mary Wilson and Sherry (David) Ricketts and sons Jay (Brenda) Owens and Lonnie (Karen) Light, 4 brothers Billy Ryan, Roy Ryan, James Ryan, and Buck Ryan, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association.

I could always count on grandma to be in the stands at the football field cheering me on, no matter if I was making the play and my name was being called over the loud speaker or if I was simply drinking water on the sideline. You will be missed grandma.
