Obituary

Barbara Jean Green, 87, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, August 31, 2019.
She was born October 23, 1931 in Pine Bluff, daughter of the late W. Anton Green and Marcella Lowery Green.
Barbara was reared and received her early education in Watson Chapel, graduating from Watson Chapel High School in 1949 and also attended Judkins Business School.
She began working for Arkansas Power and Light in 1953, transferred to Middle South Services in 1977 and retired in December of 1990 from Entergy Corporation with over 37 years of service.
Barbara was a member of Good Faith Carr United Methodist Church.
Although she had no immediate survivors, Barbara had many extended family members and good friends whom she treated as family.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 5, 2019 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Brother Steve Monk officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Grant County. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Robinson’s.

Miss Barbara holds such a special place in so many peoples hearts. She was a lifelong friend of my Mothers. I truly loved seeing her at Trinity Village as well as my girls enjoyed her also! She was always a ray of sunshine with a smile on her face.
To have known Miss Barbara was such a blessing.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Barbara Green. I will miss seeing her everyday when going to visit my grandmother. Mrs. Green was always talking to me about the weather when I would see her! She will be missed dearly!
