Obituary

Arthur Graham Tucker, 95, of White Hall, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019. He was born April 17, 1924 in Dardanelle to Mack and Dottie Ruth Hunley Tucker.
He attended school in Sherrill He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943 and served in Germany under General Patton during World War II. Arthur was discharged in 1946.
Arthur married Jessie Louise Hankins Tucker February 22, 1947 in Alameda, California. He lived and worked in California until 1956, then returned to Arkansas. Arthur, along with his wife and son owned and operated a dairy farm in northern Arkansas for several years. He later moved to Pine Bluff and worked at Central Moloney. Arthur and his wife then owned and operated Tucker’s Nursery and A & J Enterprise for 30 years, until they retired.
After retiring, he and his wife enjoyed traveling, including celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a cruise to Hawaii. The next year they drove to Alaska and also made a short trip to Washington, D.C.
He was a member of Hardin Baptist Church in White Hall.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Mack and Dottie Tucker; his wife, Jessie Louise Hankins Tucker; son, Ronnie Dale Tucker; brother, Samuel Carl Tucker; and sisters, Geraldine Lance, and Reba Camp.
Survivors include his granddaughter, Rhonda Gober (Mike); brother, Raymond Leon Tucker; sisters, Maxine Bryant, and Pat Torres; and a great-grandchild, Mary Rose Gober.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Hardin Baptist Church with Reverend Johnny Taylor officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Jackson Cemetery in Grant County. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM Tuesday at the church.

Mr. Tucker was a fine, honest and hardworking man who loved life and knew how to do many things. I was blessed to be his friend and spent many hours talking to him and discussing mowers and golf carts. Rest in peace sir and it was a pleasure being your friend.
